Amanda Robinson

Amanda has been with Chattanooga DanceSport since the beginning.  She took lessons with
Denny for two years before becoming a professional instructor.  Since then, she has excelled
at performance and Pro/Am competitions while leading many of her students to the top three
at multiple events, including the second largest competition in the country in Las Vegas 2007.

Amanda also manages studio operations and has just begun a professional competitive partnership with Denny.  She is qualified to teach multiple Bronze level curriculums in
both the American and International styles of ballroom dance.

Tammy Sheets-Harrelson

Tammy has been involved in dancing for over 20 years.  She was a dancer on the Knoxville television show "Club Dance."  While on "Club Dance," she did Country Western, Two-Step,
Country Waltz, Country Cha Cha, Double Two-Step, Polka, and the Country West Coast.

She has been a Ballroom Dance Instructor in Chattanooga for four years ... most recently with us here at Chattanooga DanceSport.

Tammy is a talented and spirited dance instructor, and she is available for private lessons, group lessons, competition, performance/showcase, and wedding choreography.

Mark Franklin

Mark  has been teaching ballroom dancing for 16 years.  He recently came out of retirement from full-time teaching to join the Chattanooga DanceSport team.  Mark's specialty is teaching new students the fundamentals of Ballroom and Latin dancing.  His analogies of comparing everyday life to dancing will take the difficulty out of learning how to dance.  If you have ever dreamed of becoming a wonderful, confident, social Ballroom or Latin dancer, Mark will get you there.

  Mel Vandergriff

Dance is the only art wherein we ourselves are the stuff of which it is made.

Mel has been dancing since he was 10 years old, and he has taught a variety of social dances on and off for the last 16 years.  His primary focus is on a smooth style East Coast swing, but he also teaches Blues, Cha Cha, Rumba, and Waltz.  Mel is available for both group and private lessons.

Mel's philosophy is that people dance socially, mostly for the pure joy of it.  For the social dancing enthusiast, nothing compares to the thrill of moving with grace and harmony to a beautiful piece of music with that wonderful partner of the moment.

He is also a DJ and will be DJing the Wednesday night Social Dance at Chattanooga DanceSport. Mel is available to DJ any special event (birthday parties, receptions, graduations, etc.)

Rhonda Tinsley

Rhonda is our Belly Dance instructor and our licensed Neuro-Muscular Massage Therapist.

She has studied with many excellent Belly Dance teachers and has studied a variety of styles and ethnic traditions over the years. Rhonda first studied Middle Eastern dance in Tucson, Arizona, in the early 1970s. In the 1990s, she taught classes in Fairfield, Connecticut.  After moving to Spring City, Tennessee, in the year 2000, she found a teacher to study with in Chattanooga.  When her mentor moved away, she began her own class. Rhonda has taught locally for 7 years before joining our team at Chattanooga Dancesport.

Rhonda has been licensed as a massage therapist for 7 years and is offering her services at the studio by appointment.

Anita Rao

Anita had her dancing debut performance in August of 2006, and she taught for two years in Albuquerque before moving to Chattanooga.

Anita is going back to school and will be back at Chattanooga DanceSport next May 2009.

M-Squad Hip Hop Dance Team.
